A week or two before the event, contact the band to confirm all of the important details; things like when they should arrive to set up, what they will be wearing and any other details which you need to discuss before the day of the wedding arrives.
Remember, there's a good chance your band has traveled a substantial distance to play at your event, so it's courteous to give them a meal.
In addition, if you provide the band with an outline of the receptions events, everything will run much smoother.
